Pony Face - Silver Tongue (03/08/2012)
The fuzzy, static sound of Pony Face draw obvious comparisons to bands from decades past, but that is not to suggest that there is no room for a band like them in this polished and clean electro-pop climate.
A unabashedly nostalgic re-imagining of grunge and indie-rock from decades past, and influences including The Cure, what is refreshing about Pony Face is they sound like no one else on the indie scene right now.
Their sound is nineties meets noughties – fuzzed-out, lo-fi guitar on a bed of synthetica with rough-edged, bluesy vocals from frontman Simon Bailey that give Caleb Followill a good nudge for his buck.
'Silver Tongue' is the second single released off the upcoming album Hypnotised, due to be released this month.
