Oceanics - The City (26/11/2012)
Indie-pop outfit, Oceanics, have released a new single, The City.
It is a track that sounds like it should be played whilst driving along the coast during summer, which is ironic as the band hails from the sunny Gold Coast.
The four piece group lists influences such as The Strokes, Mystery Jets and Phoenix, and it is easy to draw comparisons to these bands when listening to The City.
Lead singer and guitarist, Elliot Weston says, “The City is more or less about the going on’s when we’re on the road playing shows and having a certain love interest playing on your thoughts.”
Oceanics have recently toured the country promoting their new single and have shown potential to make it big on the Aussie music scene.
The City will feature on the group’s debut album, which is set to be released in early-mid 2013.
