Nat Col And The Kings - Coming Home (07/08/2012)
Nat Col and The Kings' biography reads like the script from many musicians’ wildest dreams. Out of this world experiences, including guitarist Nathan Cavaleri performing for then US President Bill Clinton builds high expectations for the listener when listening to 'Coming Home'.
It's the lead single from their forthcoming EP and the song keenly features smooth guitar licks from Cavaleri, while the production is polished and burly.
In particular I’m fond of the female vocals that add great texture to the chorus. My main gripe with this song however, is that I never feel surprised by what comes next and perhaps this song isn’t engaging enough to get away with that.
While ‘Coming Home’ is far from reinventing the wheel, it’s still a gallant effort from this up and coming group.
