Nantes - Unsatisfy (22/06/2012)
Nantes have created a song with practically no flaws. ‘Unsatisfy’ is on the shorter side but it is packed with talent; it bursts out to start with a bang and smoothly slides into the vocals. The vocals are deep and captivating; basically perfect for the music. This song is a mix of dance and indie, which had me dancing in my seat and trying to sing-a-long on first listen.
One thing noticeable in the track is that if you listen to the lyrics they seem quite sad in comparison to the beat and rhythm! There is a danceable beat accompanied by the lyrics “they’re dancing just for the sake of it”, no quite a positive spin on the event. This is not a negative though and only adds to the skill seen in the song.
Nantes released their debut EP last year and this follow-up single just supports why they have seen so much success in the last year. They have a lot of talent and have released a single that will only create more acclaim for these boys. They are currently finishing up their ‘Satisfy the Unsatisfied’ Tour ending in a Sydney show on the 30th of June.
