Lime Cordial - Falling Up The Stairs (20/03/2014)
Five-piece band Lime Cordiale from Sydney deliver pop/indie sounds with a touch of brass in their latest EP Falling Up The Stairs. Listening to this EP it is not at all suprising to hear the guys grew out of the Northern Beaches music scene.
The EP opens with killer track Bullshit Aside. Beginning with the perfect mix of tambourine and trumpet this song is great reflection of the feeling you get when you’re just fed up with people and ready to move on. It is upbeat and fun.
Brother vocalists Oliver and Loius Lembach have such an interesting tone of voice. In particular, their harmonies add a great depth to a lot of the tracks on this record. Although I adore the way the band incorporate brass into their sound I definitely think the vocals are a stand out.
Falling Up The Stairs has a great surf feel to it and brings together a range of different instruments seamlessly.
