_Jersey Boys – Seasons Greetings A Jersey Boys Christmas (09/12/2011)
_
In a year where it seems to be the ‘in’ thing to do to
release a Christmas album – the cast of the Jersey Boys musical from around the
globe bring their own offering to the table! Following the likes of Michael
Buble, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga and Glee, this newly released Christmas album
has been created by the brains behind the hits Bob Gaudio wrote and Ron Melrose
arranged for Jersey Boys.
The concept is fairly straightforward – take an incredibly successful and popular band (Jersey Boys), then take the even more successful and popular global stage hit (Jersey Boys The Musical), and go one step further and make a Christmas album.
Featuring all the old favourites – Jingle Bell Rock, Little Drummer Boy, Silent Night and Winter Wonderland – producers Bob Gaudio and Ron Melrose re-arranged the popular holiday songs and the cast of Jersey Boys The Musical from around the world had the chance to record the songs to be compiled on the album.
The album features the cast from Las Vegas, Australia, London and Broadway and gives the old familiar Christmas carols a truly ‘Jersey Boys’ spin.
The album itself is indulgent for those who are Jersey Boys fans, but it is not a Christmas album that you can relax to, or have on in the background during the holiday season. ‘Seasons Greetings – A Jersey Boys Christmas’ demands attention – it is loud, up-tempo and unashamedly Christmas-pop.
If you want to add a little Jersey Boys to your festive season, this album is right down your alley!
