Gung Ho - Strangers (19/02/2013)
Brisbane locals, Gung Ho, have released the third single off their upcoming EP, Anywhere Else, due out later this month. Their blend of retro bass lines and hook heavy guitar tracks along with their melodic, if somewhat moody, vocals creates unique a mix of sun-drenched surf pop with post-punk influences.
Their latest single, Strangers, was welcomed by fans and critics alike and shows off their attention to detail and talent. The band's approach to their music, with catchy guitar tracks and a tight rhythm section is highlighted on this track, blending perfectly with Michael McAlary's vocals.
The track is perfect for long summer days at the beach and road trips with friends, with its sound fitting perfectly in with sunshine and friendships. And as the third track we have heard so far, it is definitely clear there is more to come from Gung Ho.
